Every local rule, accounted for.

The Bangladeshi laws and rules that apply to a loyalty platform, and how we meet each one.

  1. 01

    Personal data

    Personal data protection

Customers join only by their own choice, from a QR code or a link. Our Privacy Policy sets out what we collect and why, and shops can export or erase a customer's data on request.

  2. 02

    Cyber security

    Cyber security law

The merchant dashboard is behind sign-in, and every team seat has a role that limits what it can see and do. Customer data is encrypted at rest.

    In place
  3. 03

    VAT

VAT and Supplementary Duty Act 2012

Plan prices include VAT, and every payment comes with a VAT invoice.

    In place
  4. 04

    Consumer rights

    Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009

Published terms, cancel anytime from the dashboard, and a full refund of the first payment when asked within 7 days of paying, once per business.

    In place
  5. 05

    Promotional messages

    BTRC telecom and SMS rules

Revisit reaches customers through wallet notifications from Apple and Google, never by SMS, so promotional SMS rules do not apply.

    Not applicable
  6. 06

    Payments

    Bangladesh Bank payment rules

Payments are taken by SSLCOMMERZ, a licensed payment gateway. Revisit never handles the money or the card itself.

    Delegated
  7. 07

    Customer consent

    Consent for offers

Only the customer can add a card to their wallet. Our terms require shops to have consent before sending offers, and customers can remove the card or mute it at any time.

    In place
  8. 08

    Wallet platforms

Apple Wallet and Google Wallet policies

Cards are issued from Revisit's verified Apple Developer account and approved Google Wallet issuer account, under both platforms' pass policies. Shops need no developer account of their own.

International standards

Held to global standards.

Certification is a formal audit. Where we hold one, it says so. Where we follow the standard ahead of the audit, it says that too.

PCI DSS

Handled by SSLCOMMERZ

Keeping payment card data safe.

  • Cards are entered on the gateway's own checkout page, never on ours.
  • We never see, store or process a card number.
  • Payment results are checked against the gateway's signature.
  • No card data in our logs; gateway keys kept secret.

Card data stays with SSLCOMMERZ, a licensed gateway.

ISO/IEC 27001

Controls aligned

A managed system for information security.

  • Customer data encrypted one field at a time.
  • Access by role, refused unless allowed.
  • An audit trail of every sensitive change.
  • Dedicated deployments for enterprise customers.

Formal certification is on our roadmap.

SOC 2 Type I

Controls aligned

Whether security controls are designed well, at one point in time.

  • Encryption, access and audit controls written down and in place.
  • Roles that refuse every request they do not allow.
  • Verified payment events and rate-limited join links.

Formal certification is on our roadmap.

SOC 2 Type II

Controls aligned

Whether those controls keep working, observed over months of operation.

  • The same controls, running every day, not just on audit day.
  • An append-only log of every sensitive change.
  • Export and erasure on request; purge after deletion.

Formal certification is on our roadmap.

GDPR

Controls aligned

How personal data of people in Europe is collected and used.

  • People join only by their own choice, and can leave at any time.
  • We collect only what a loyalty card needs, and say so plainly.
  • Copies, corrections and erasure on request.
  • Personal data encrypted, never sold, never used to train AI.

Formal certification is on our roadmap.

Under the hood

Security built in, not bolted on.

The practices behind every row on this page.

Encrypted customer data

Customer names, phone numbers and join IP addresses are encrypted one field at a time before they reach the database.

Access by role

Every request is refused unless the person's role allows it. Owners, managers, marketing, branch managers and staff each see only their part.

Every shop walled off

Each shop sees only its own customers and visits. No merchant can ever see another merchant's list.

Audit trail

Sign-ins, invites, role changes and password changes are written to an append-only log.

Encrypted in transit

All traffic is encrypted with TLS. Passwords are never stored, only a strong one-way hash.

Verified payments

Payment results are accepted only with the gateway's signature, so nobody can fake a paid invoice.

Export and erasure

Shops export their customer list at any time and erase a customer on request. A deleted business is purged after 14 days.

Dedicated deployments

Enterprise customers can run on a dedicated deployment, with their customer data stored apart from everyone else's.

Staff access

Revisit's internal console needs an approved company email and a second sign-in factor. Read-only support access to a shop is written to the audit trail.

Your data

Kept as long as needed, not a day more.

How long each kind of data stays, and what happens when it goes. The Privacy Policy has the full detail.

Join page visits that end without a sign-upCounted with no name or number, then deleted.
90 days
Customer name, phone and join detailsKept with the customer's card until the shop erases them.
Until erased
An erased customerName, phone and join details, including the IP address, go straight away. The card link stops working; only visit counts remain.
Removed at once
A deleted businessA grace period in case the owner changes their mind, then everything is purged.
14 days
The card remembered on a customer's phoneHolds only a card ID and the private card link, never a name or number. Opening the card renews it.
Up to 1 year

Cookies and tracking

We use first-party cookies to keep merchants signed in and to reopen a customer's card from the shop's QR code. This website uses the Meta Pixel to measure our own ads; it never receives anything about the customers on a shop's cards.
